Last sunday, I have invite my friend to my place for a home cook breakfast. I told her that I wanted to try making poach egg and she was very supportive by making her way and be a guinea pig. Anyway, I always think poach egg is easy to cook but it is not true. I tried the 4th time and got it right (of course I still serve the first three eggs to my guest). Here is what I did. First, I break the egg and put it into a small bowl. Then I start stirring the hot water and slowly pour the egg in. I cover the lid and let the egg sit for 4 minutes after which I scoop it up and towel dry and serve!!!

Nescafe Dolce Gusto
This tiny coffee capsule machine is recent purchase for my new place. Though it is not as chic as nespresso (heh) and but I find this coffee machine presses out very nice coffee. It comes with 4 different flavors, mocha, cappuccino, latte macchiato and espresso. I like the outlook of the machine, it look like a very cute mini penguin that invading my home?!?
To be frank, I bought this not because I am a coffee lover (I prefer tea) but I want to serve my guest next time when they come my place. Heh, if you want to have a sip of nice affordable coffee, please pop by pending for a cuppa!!

Finally I went for the op!
A lump (Lipoma) was found two years ago. I decided to went for the op cos it was growing bigger and bigger.
Two weeks later!
I had hard time sleeping for two weeks but now it is slowly healing. I had an infection 3 days ago and the wound was swollen and I had a slight fever. Went for an injection and is getting better.

Outline drawing of Pending Kitchen
Finally, Steve has give me the drawing for my kitchen.... Still have alot of things to trash out but this is rougly the outline drawing of my firstever kitchen. Choosing of the tiles for my featured wall is already a headache. Luckily yesterday WN went to choose the tiles with me. It is not the typical tiles so I am looking forward to see the final result.

When I am down, what lift me up?
So many years, there are so many ups and downs I have encountered. What really change my perspective and make me stronger each time I fall, is to pick up a camera and shoot. Seeing the view finder make me think how can I make myself a stronger person and better person. There are so many subjects we can shoot but how we can compose and make it look nice is all in the eye and mind. So everytime when I need to think or rather when I cannot get my thought straight, I will pick up my camera and shoot. Of course, God is with me too!

Been thinking of getting a dining table or fabricate a dining table. I have not found any table that I like but recently been surfing net for my new dining table and hope to get one that suit my new place. I will fabricate a concrete bench and re-upholster two dining chair that I bought 2 years ago. After surfing net, I found some dining table that I like.

Homemade scone
Recently I went for a baking class with Sham and Anne. We make scone and bread which is one of the pastries I love. bread making require alot of kneading which I think if I really want to make bread I will just get a bread machine but definitely will taste different. My dad has tried the bread and he think it is very nice and ask me buy from that bakery shop again but how to buy for him???
As for scone, it was easier and I will definitely bake scone when I got a new place.

My latest bike project!!
I have recently help lirong with her new sparton track bike project. Though I never really fix anything up for her but I have been picking up her bike frame from punggol to sending it to TR bikes to fix up her bike. I especially love her wheelset and of course she spend alot of money on it. Nevertheless, it is one kick ass bike and hope she will appreciate it!!!
I have bought a fizik arione saddle and rewrap it for her. Nice looking elegant bike awaiting for her to ride it!....

Bukit Panjang is my future home!
Finally I have purchase the most expensive asset in my life. Searching a home is not as easy but paying for a house is equally not easy. Anyway, I will update the renovation process. I hope cute cute will like this too but I have a feeling she will not like it.

The Button
I have not been shooting with a Polaroid for a long time. I took this baby for a weekend shoot but was very disappointed with the result. I think I have kept the Polaroid for too long so the output is too blurry. I will still want to continue to shoot Polaroid.
The early 90s Faggin
This one is another bike that I have set up recently. I have gotten this for quite awhile but never have time to set this up. All the parts are from the old Maurizio.
I did the first ride when we were having manic monday. I didn't lock the BB tight enough so throughout the ride I have to tighten it once it got lose. I love this bike :)

USD75
Bought this off from EBay.... It was a good purchase cos I only paid in total of S$150 which I think it is very rare to find this at this price and this size. When I first bidded it, I thought I will not be able to get this frame cos a lugged frame usually cost around $700 - $1500. Though it doesn't have a brand but I really do not mind cos the paint work is brand new and the sizing fit Shannie or even me very well. I am happy to get this frame.
After gotten this frame, I decided to build it up as a single speed. I sold off my beloved Maurizio which I spend alot of time building it but I also want to retain part of Maurizio so I decided to keep the fork and put it onto USD75.
I went to Benson and get it fix but Benson spend a long time to shorten the fork. After shortening the fork, he realise the diameter of the fork is too small for the headset, so he said there will be some "play" when braking. Well, what is a play? The term "play" in bicycle term means lose! He tried to find a suitable ring for the most bottom of the headset cos it is where the foundation is. but after finding for a long time, he still cannot find a suitable one. He said it can still be ridden but will be lose. He give me another suggestion is to use tape to tape around the fork and force the ring into the fork. I ask him to go ahead.
Once the fork is in place and headset is fixed, I brought it home to fixed the rest of the parts onto the bike. The first one is to fixed the BB but I face another hiccups when I start fixing the BB, it was alittle too big for the frame. So I have start filing the fixing cup so it can be fixed into the frame. I spend almost 2 hours and still cannot fix it on. Finally I take a closer look and realise the thread on the frame was damaged. I tired using a flat screwdriver to crave out a thread to fix the BB on and it was successful. I did the same for the adjustment cap side and I had to force it in. Next was the stem. It could not go in totally to the length that I wanted and I filed it again. After filing for almost a long time I told myself it will not fit in still so I think the best way is to saw it. After 3 hours and so many difficulties, the BB and stem is finally on the frame and the rest is a breeze!
Ofmega crank, MKS pedal, Izumi gold chain, Nitto 60mm stem, Shimano 600 front brake, Odessey monolever, Airwalk riserbar and orange hand grip, lastly a temporary Fizik Arione (I am still thinking should I get a brooks for this bike). A single speed bike is born!!!

Desaru
Do you believe I almost lost my passport? I am staying over to Sarah's place tonight so I have pack my bag since last night. I remember that I have put my passport and money in my crumpler bag but when I reach Sarah's place, I realize I can't find my passport and money. I was so panic and my heart almost drop. I wish cute cute is here. At least she is calmer and can help me find but when I think of her I am sad. I thought after losing her is already a terrible thing happen but now I lost my passport and the money that the whole team entrust me. I felt lost and worry. I rush home and search the car park and can't see any trace of it. Then I quickly rush back home and flip my whole room up side down and can't find it. Then I asked my dad and he point out to me a yellow pouch beside my sofa and I realize I didn't put that pouch in my bag. I felt relieve at the same time I wish I can share with cute cute what I have encounter.
I was flipping thru an album that cute cute sent me. She say :" as we grow older together, as we continue to change with age, there is one thing will never change... I will always keep falling in love with you again." I think all this is not true already. Man is funny and selfish. Everyone wants life to be perfect and when bad things hit we tend to run away. We went thru so much yet we can't cross one hurdle together. I choose to stay still, She choose to run away from me and choose to run away with another person. What have I done wrong? What really went wrong?
